Permanent makeup is one of the best investments you can make in yourself. You’ll save time in the mornings, you’ll save money on traditional makeup throughout the year, and you won’t have to worry about your makeup smudging or running after you exercise or rub your eyes. We know that many people have questions about permanent cosmetics, so we’ve taken the time to answer some of the most common questions we receive at our Austin permanent makeup salon. How Long Will the Procedure Take?
The answer to this question will vary according to the procedure we’re performing. Generally speaking, you can expect a procedure to take between one and two hours. We will provide you with a more specific time quote during your consultation.
I Have Botox, Injectables, Chemical Peels, and Laser Treatments. Can I Still Have Permanent Makeup Applied?
Yes! We know that many of our customers are interested in other health and beauty services, and one of the best aspects of permanent cosmetics is that they can be used in conjunction with virtually any other treatment. However, we do recommend that you wait at least a week between treatments to allow your skin to fully heal. If you are having a chemical peel or laser resurfacing, then your skin may need additional time to recover before permanent makeup can be applied. Speak with our permanent makeup artists about your specific circumstances when you call to schedule your appointment.
Can I Retain My Original Brow Hair If I’m Having Permanent Eyebrows Applied?

Many of our clients simply want thicker brows or sparse areas filled in, and we’ll work to find a pigment that perfectly matches your existing hair and provides you with the appearance you desire.

Generally speaking, it won’t take any longer than a full week for you to feel completely back to normal. Depending on the procedure, you may some itching or slight irritation in the two or three days following your appointment, but this should subside quickly. Get in touch with us if you continue to experience irritation and/or discomfort for a prolonged period of time.
